Laura Smith Borrman is a writer, editor and interviewer who loves food and drink and sharing other people’s stories. Iconic San Francisco Dishes, Drinks and Desserts (2018) is her third book, preceded in 2015 by Discovering Vintage San Francisco. Her first, Wine Country Chef’s Table, is a cookbook and travelogue featuring beloved chefs and restaurants throughout Napa and Sonoma. She lives in Oakland, California – just across the bay from San Francisco – with her husband (the photographer) and two children. Brandon Borrman is a communications strategist by day and takes pictures in whatever free time he can find. For this book, all black and white photos were taken on a Leica M5 with a Summarit 50mm/f1.5, while color photos were taken with a Sony RX1.
